Clementine essential oil:

Sugar texture:
Regular granulated sugar gives a body scrub texture. Use finer sugar if you prefer a gentler polish.

Dried peel:
Only use very dry, finely grated peel so the scrub stays fresh longer.

FAQ Sugar Scrub
Can I use this clementine sugar scrub on my face?

No. This recipe is designed as a body scrub. Facial skin is more delicate, and sugar scrubs can be too abrasive.

Can I use fresh clementine zest?

Dried peel is better. Fresh zest adds water and can shorten the shelf life of the scrub.

Can I use olive oil instead of jojoba?

Yes, but olive oil feels heavier and has a stronger aroma. Jojoba or sweet almond oil gives a lighter scrub.

How often should I use this scrub?

Use it once or twice a week on the body. Avoid over-exfoliating sensitive or dry skin.

Why did my scrub separate?

Sugar scrubs can settle naturally. Stir before use or add a little more sugar for a thicker texture.

Can I make this as a gift?

Yes. Package it in a clean jar, label it clearly, and include a note to keep water out and use within 3 months.
